Micro Set is a very versatile solution for fixing decals. Micro Set should be applied to the surface of the model where you want to apply the decal. Micro Set prepares the surface and strengthens the adhesive film on the back of the decal. This creates a long lasting bond between the decal and the model. Also, Micro Set softens the decal slightly to make it more flexible so it can conform better to the surface of the model. The better adhesion of the decal to the model prevents the formation of tiny air bubbles and has the effect of making the backing film barely visible. This is also referred to as the "Painted On Look".
To apply, use a soft, flat artist brush and wet the area with Micro Set where you want to apply the decal and then the decal. Carefully position the decal in the correct location and then peel the decal from the backing paper using a small, pointed synthetic bristle brush. Gently dab the decal with a paper towel, being careful not to shift it. Allow the decal to dry overnight. After that, it is ready for a protective coat of clear varnish.
